Saw Something / Deeper + Deeper - Limited Edition Numbered 7 Inch Picture Disc

(MUTE398) 7 inch single
Despatch in 3 to 14 days
Release Date : Jan 14 2008
“Good enough to hold its own with Bowie’s Berlin period” **** - Mail on Sunday
Iconic frontman of Depeche Mode and accomplished solo artist, Dave Gahan makes a dynamic return on January 14th with the new double-A side single 'Saw Something' / 'Deeper & Deeper'. A triumph of cutting-edge electronica, it's the second release from the smash-hit solo LP 'Hourglass', which debuted in the Top 10 across Switzerland, France, Italy and Germany, where it reached Number 2.
Written, performed and produced by Dave Gahan, Christian Eigner & Andrew Phillpott - both members of the Depeche Mode touring band – the single boasts 2 of the album's most immaculate moments back to back. Eerily beautiful and gospel-tinged, 'Saw Something' soars with haunting vocals, while 'Deeper & Deeper' pounds with a raw, urgent, synth-led heart.
"For me 'Saw Something' is a starting point for something new in my life," says Gahan. "The lyrics are about sitting, waiting for something to come - some kind of answer.”
"As for 'Deeper & Deeper', I had to stand three feet from the mic when recording it - I was just screaming it out. It’s very animalistic."
